Drac X finally coming to North America

The 3D remake looks like it's trying to be faithful to the original levels, but the original PC Engine version is also included, as is Symphony of the Night.

I hope that the voice acting in the 2D and 3D versions is decent, both translation and acting wise. I'm not too keen on the 3D art style, or what appears to be the camera zooming in and out... but honestly I don't care so much since I'm just glad that the PCE game is finally making it over here with the 3D version as a bonus.

It'll be cool just to read the english translation.

I wonder if Alucard will be playable in the 3D version.

I like the Ayami Kojima Richter artwork a lot more than the long haired version for SotN.

I hope that SotN gets the extra Saturn content plus some more. At least they're redoing the 'localization'.

I wonder if this is an old project or if Sony asked Konami for some help moving PSPs. It can be argued that this might only appeal to 'hardcore' gamers, but the GBA/DS Castlevania's have sold well and this is a set that utilizes the PSP's strengths over the DS.

This is great news but I still hate playing games on portables.

Here's gameplay footage of Stage 1-

I like how many of the current sfx are straight out of the PCE version. It sounds like the new music isn't going to be as good as the original, but it's nice to have another remix.

The "item crash" reminded me of the item crashes in Golden Axe PS2.

... In a REALLY strange board that definitely needs to be removed! Merge it with Console Chat instead, jeez!

I guess I made the mistake of only checking the Console Chat, Turbo, and PCE sections.

Very good news for those who couldn't get their hands on the SCD Chi no rondo. Fortunately, the 2.5D graphics look quite decent this time and not as ugly as Gokumakaimura but I hate playing on the PSP because Sony did somehow manage to screw up both the digital pad and the analog stick of their portable. Otsukare!
If I were a Castlevania fan I would maybe consider buying a PSP and this game but I don't really like the series. Honestly, I don't even have a copy of the SCD Dracula X...

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).
