Got some kind of database/sampler
« on: March 15, 2007, 08:39:32 PM »
I won a bunch of cheap games recently, & in my Take the A Train 3(which has a double case) there was a database/sampler disc in it.  I doubt it comes with it originally, just one of those bonuses.  So far, it has Ys 4, Super Darius 2, & Godzilla on it.  Does anyone know the name of this sampler, or of it's origin?

Are those just game demos?  Is it an official disc?

Yeah, it's official, & they're all demo's, except, as far as I can tell, there's a full version of Nectari on there!?  Other demo's I can think of on there, are Yawara 2, Flash Hiders, Faceball, Bomberman 94', Sol Moonarge.  I think there's a few others.  Another thing that's wierd, is that, some of the demo's, have also been released seperatly.  Like the Bomerman 94' demo, is the same one that you can find seperatly, as well as the Ys 4 & Faceball demo's.  Pretty sure they're the exact same demo's that are also found seperately.  The demo of Sol Moonarge is nice.  Didn't realise how wierd/cool looking that game is, it has some nice sprite & tile work!

Let's see, on the disc, it says in english PCI & 1993 winter CD-ROM & Shogakukan along with all the copyright info.  Oh, I think Tokimeki Memorial is on it as well.

Sounds like Hyper Catalogue 4. Is it orange(and blue?).

Is it the X-Mas themed one?
