I'm sure someone here knows.

This is the first time I've seen this thread, however.

Today's the first that I've seen this thread - how'd that happen?  If nobody gives you an answer, then I'll check 'em out tonight when I get home and see what I can see.

The audio tracks are the same, except for track one.  Take this with a grain of salt, as I don't have an original disc to check and the iso could be f'd up.

I noticed very few visual changes (pretty much limited to translations), but here's what I saw:

- "Seagull Stage" is renamed "River Stage".
- Buddies say "Good Luck" instead of "Bye Bye" at end of levels.
- Sign says "Next Stage" instead of "Go To Next" at end of levels.

In other words, the differences are minimal.

P.S. - This was an interesting experience.  I had two simultaneous instances of Mednafen running the two different isos and controlled two zonks at once.  Definitely an odd way to play a game, eh?

Not as bad ass as splitting the cable for a PC Engine pad and playing it on a PC Engine and TurboCD at the same time on two TVs.

NO! i just learned the 8 dollar way that super air zong on the VC  does not have the same opening song, which is a shame because so few will get to hear it. it also makes the opening sceme look stupid as stuff flies about with no explanation

its just an instrumental, but it sucks without any lyrics. especially because they were so funny.

I'm pretty sure the US version never used the lyrical version.....infact, I know it didn't, so, it's nothing surprising to me.  I thought maybe it was a completely new song or something.
