I bought a couple lots when I first started collecting , sure.. but let me tell you this
- the games you get will be BEAT UP. Especially cases, booklets. BEAT UP.
- you're not going to find any rare games in there. Not a single one. If there is a rare game in a lot, you can bet the lot will be bid up to atleast the value of that rare game (hey, if it's a lot of 15 games that's OK, but if it's 4 and the rest are Keith Courage / Bonk, you aren't doing so good)
- sometimes it seems like there is a lot more competetion on Ebay for lots over loose (even complete) games. case in point: I won Parasol Stars, complete in case and in perfect condition for $10 the other day. no one else bid?? Couldnt believe it. A week before a lot that had PS + a couple no big deal games sold for $40+.
I guess those are all the caveats. In general it's a fine strategy as long as you can put the extra work into it and you aren't expecting any miracles.
