PC Engine/TurboGrafx Belt Buckles
« on: November 10, 2007, 12:51:46 PM »
I just got back from the mall and there's a belt buckle stand on the 1st floor that sells all kinds of various belt buckles. They had a NES controller belt buckle, which was pretty awesome. I just might have to get it. But, of course, a PC Engine/TurboDuo/TurboGrafx belt buckle would just simply rock. 8) Just wondering if anyone has seen this around anywhere. I could see maybe in Japan.

Aside from that, any other novelty NEC/Hudson collectibles would be neat to hear about.

I might just have to go to the fine art college here in town and talk to one of the students in metal works and see if they could do something for me. lol I want one bad. A controller buckle would be cool, but so would a buckle of one of the systems. Oh man, a HuCard belt buckle would rock too. What game though?  :-k

If you're going for campy, then choose Keith Courage. If you're going for coolness, choose R-Type or Devil's Crush.

I fixed that for ya, as fancy belt buckles are for cowboys only.

Another cool one to use for a hucard belt buckle would be Splatterhouse.

I'm surprised I haven't seen any original Xbox or Jaguar controller belt-buckles, being in Texas and all.

I prefer the perverted Atari 2600 belt buckle.

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

They have to continue the production of NES belt buckles, or Emo kids would be losing there pants everywhere. #-o

Hahaha, this thread reminds me of when I was 21, my friend/roommate changed his entire name to "Rolson." He found a company online that would create custom belt buckles so he had this huge silver buckle made that said "ROLSON" so he could advertise his new name. He wore it every day for like a year until it broke.

Yeah, he's kind of a weird guy. What amazed me is that he actually got people to call him by his new name, and that's what everyone calls him to this day. I refuse, though, and still call him by his birth name since we grew up together.

He's not my roommate anymore or anything, I actually don't see or talk to him more than once a year or so nowadays.
