Systemcard question
« on: December 02, 2007, 06:11:38 PM »
does someone know, which of the system cards came in a separate jewel case and which one where added loose to the cd-rom system? or where they all provided in a case originally? :-k

1.0 > not sure
2.0 > ns
2.1 > ns
3.0 > case
arcade duo > case
arcade pro > case

forgot something?

thx a lot.

Good question, I have never seen v.1.0 - v2.1 in a jewel case so far.

Which is quite logical, considering that I'm not yet an old chôkusoyaji as other people are (names are known to the editorial staff).

I don't think that the cards before the 3.0 card were sold seperately in retail channels, so if they were only available as a replacement part, then they likely wouldn't have ever had a fancy jewel case.

If I remember correctly, the pcengine CD adapter was sold separately from the CD unit itself, since it was also used for computers.

Were the first system cards included in the separate interface unit? if they were, there wouldn't be much reason to sell those cards separately at retail.
