How much does Ys Book I&II usually go for loose on ebay?

I should add I bought a loose disc for $10 from a forum member (don't remember who anymore) here a couple years ago.

Also, luck has nothing to do with it. $60 really is way above fair market value, we're not pulling your leg here. At least you can take comfort in the fact that you really got two games, and they are both pretty good. Although I have to admit, $60 is by far the highest I've ever seen it go for.

"Great" Nintega- you seem to keep insisting that you paid the correct amount for it- so why even bother starting a thread asking how much it goes for?  We're ALL telling you different- this game is crazy common, really, one of the earliest TG CD games.  The game that we see every now and then get sold to some schmuck for around $90 is actually Ys III- not I & II- and that's still ridiculously gouged- If these sales that you refer to are indeed real- then I wouldn't be surprised if these sales were actually sellers having their own friends pretend to win games just in order to try to drive up the market.  You've been burned- plain and simple.  Feel that tingling sensation under your collar?  Means you've been had, bamboozled, taken for a ride and tossed out on the highway.

Also I've seen you on shout saying "THIS GAME BETTER BE AS GOOD AS YOU ALL SAY" or whatever.  Or what?  Let's say for laughter's sake that it blows- blows big time.  You can then just add that to the burn in which you overpaid for it.  There's no consequence involved whatsoever for those who love it and may have indirectly recommended it to you.  Another thing- if you snoop around this site with your eyes a little more open- you'll find that the overall consensus of what the best PCE CD game is is more so Dracula X than Ys I & II.  Yet another assumption pulled out of the cramped trunk of your ass.

I have 3 copies of Ys that came in a game bundle last August. GOT 4-in-1, Fighting Street (loosey goosey), FZ II and Valis II (loosey goosey), and 3 copies of Ys (1 Duo pack-in complete, 1 TG-CD loosey, and a Japanese loosey) for $58. $60 is too much for Ys, no matter how you look at it.

As for Ys I and II being "the best PCE game", I think most people here will acknowledge the significance of the game in terms of Turbografx history, which is why it consistently makes peoples' top 10 lists. And some people just simply love the game more than anything. But it's certainly not their responsibility for you to think it's the best thing since sliced bread.

LOL, I remember reading about the game in Gamepro around 91 with nice pics going "Ooooo, ahhhhhhh!!!". I started playing it for the first time in 2000. After seeing the fighting, I realized you walk into the enemy to attack them  . No buttons to press at all (of course when you get magics later on, it gets much more fun). Haha, I thought it sucked for a second. Then I started to play the game more and completely ended up loving it.

I guess you gotta have an appreciation of old games like this to begin with. It is easy to think this game isn't all that great if you don't really give it a chance playing many years later for the first time. I could only imagine being a 14 year old kid trying to go retro with the gaming and playing this one  .

I got the Duo pack-in version with the white case, no back insert, and 2 manuals that were the same . All this for $16, with some wear. I actually think that was a little high at the time.
