Chicagoland Winter Carnival '09 - shmupmeet
« on: January 30, 2009, 08:21:23 AM »
I'm more known on the shmups forums and this is a shmup meet, but I've already met some good people here and wanted to let you all know what's up, especially since there will be some Hudson/Naxat Carnival madness going on...

So here's the deal. I haven't nailed a date down yet, but I'm thinking the weekend of February 28th, that Saturday to host the meet, which will include lots of game systems and two candy cabs and, of course, including my PCE Duo-R. I'll be hosting this at my place, which is by the intersection of Belmont and Clark in Chicago, IL. Should be easy for most Chicagoland folk.

I want to also run a Summer Carnival '92 contest during the meet, playing both Recca and Alzadick for score (caravan modes only). I have yet to figure out how to weigh the scoring, but there will be some sort of prize for the winner.

Please let me know if you are interested in attending and if you have a supergun/pcb's/console games to bring, all the better!

Here's the thread at shmups: here
