I'm selling a MIRAI Conv. + some import games...Re-Updated!
« on: November 21, 2009, 01:50:32 AM »
Hi Guys

I'm new here and I think this forum is really great since it contains everything Turbo users need, even a Sound repair Topic I'm actually studying to fix both of my TurboDUO with a different sound problem + my Turbo Duo Express I would like to sell but recently found it also now have a sound problem too !!
I hope I'll be able to repair the three of them !  I'm waiting to start my Shadow Gate Beyond that I paid a fortune on eBay. I hope to start my game before this Chrismas ;-)

So, I have these items for sale.. I wanted to put them on eBay but I'll first try here because I don't like too much the high rates ebay gets on each sales..

-A Region Converter, the Mirai Model licensed by Telegames. This converter fits also in the TurboDUo console instead of some other converter. I'm asking 140$. Now selling on ebay (http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280429442820&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT)
-Cyber DodgeBall  15$ (Complete)
-DodgeBall Danpei  20$ (Complete)
-Samurai Ghost Import 20$ (Complete)
-Ninja Gaiden  40$ (Complete) Actually selling on ebay (http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280429447337&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT)
-Moto Roader 2  40$ (Complete)
-MultiTap + Controller in Like new condition in their box for Turbo GrafX US.  25$

I live in Canada.
Prices are in US currency and doesn't cover shipping... I think it should cost around 6$ to ship a game or the kisado to US.
Every items are in very good condition.
I have a picture of each of my Item I can send you via e-mail if you are interested..

You can private me directly if you are interested or if you want me to send pictures to you e-mail.

Thanks
Martin

For Reference I have my same Nickname "Martindap" on Ebay and on Amibay.

I'm a good Ebay user since about 9 years.. I bough a lot of stuff and I sold some... I have really good feedbacks.
I sold 2 amiga games last weeks on Amibay..

You Can see in the first post I finally placed 2 items on eBay.

That is NOT a Kisado converter.

That is a Mirai converter. You might want to update your eBay listing before someone reports you for false advertising, or whatever the eBay term is.

Kisado kind of became a household name for converters. But yeah, that is most certainly NOT an actual Kisado.

Hi

Thanks Nat and Old Rover !

After reading your posts I was totally confused because I searched on the web for about 15 mins to find pictures and I can't find anywhere...
Anybody can send me a link to a picture of the Mirai Converter ?

All I found is a picture of the Kisado converter on the Turbo GFX wikipedia page...
I always though mine was a Kisado because the shape was the same and I read that it's apparently the only one to fit correctly in the TurboDuo without any cutting or modification...  That's the case with mine..

Hmmm, after returning on Wikipedia as my only source of info on this I compared my converter with the Kisado on the picture again and I found the mine have an extension on a side of it near the connector where we put the Hu-Card !!! Still, it fits in a DUO console...

Now, Can someone help me to know if there's any important difference between this one and the Kisado one ?
I paid about 160$ 2 years ago from an ebay seller who had every model of converter for the Turbo GFX and I bough this one because the other model wouldn't fit in my Turbo Duo ... So, don't know the actual value if it's a Mirai instead of a Kisado.  However, I'll change information right now to avoid any problem..

Thanks guys

There are several converters that work in a Duo. The "diving board", for example. Of course, aside from the Chopsado none of them really fit because you can't close the bloody door.

$130...wow that's almost twice what I paid for my sans power supply Duo R.

I remember when these Mirai convertes came out they were something like $90-$100 from TZD which seemed insane to me. That's twice what the Kisado cost when it came out. Hell, a Phatom 1 is only $250 and that thing actually does something.

I think that between the Chopsado and the mod service scene explosion we have hopefully seen the peak of converter prices.

Differences between the two exist only in parts and craftsmanship. I believe both of them to be fully compatible with both the Duo and the complete hucard library. If you seek pictures comparing the different converters, you've come to the correct place. Here is the official PcEngineFX.com compatibility guide:

https://www.pcenginefx.com/main/nec_compatibility_guide.html

and here is a pic I made for a friend on here last year:

There you have it; the differences between converters.
