Help! Where's runinruder's thread of REVIEWS
« on: January 19, 2010, 05:22:04 AM »
Hey folks.

I was wondering if you can find the thread runinruder started a long time ago.

He reviewed tons of games. I want to re-read it, starting from the beginning and seeing the thread evolve.

Also, I am trying to find my fanatical praise for Dragon Spirit's chiptune soundtrack (he didn't like the soudtrack! the gall! so I wrote a "Defense of Dragon Spirit" reply to runin).

Keywords I've tried: Kodai, Hinotori, "Dragon Spirit", soundtrack, tune, esteban, etc.

I spent several minutes looking for this, found a dead link to the post I wanted, cried, gave up.

Thanks in advance.

I know that, but I'm trying to find the thread that inspired Duomazov. A lot of us contributed to the thread and I was trying to find some stuff I wrote.

Plus, there were some additional comments that runin and others added to the original reviews--hence my desire to re-read the thread and see how things evolved.

For example, I want to see the chronology in which runin played the games, to see how his earlier reviews influenced the later reviews.

Tons of great stuff like that were in the thread--but the chronology and feedback and evolution has been lost at Duomazov. I love the Duomazov project, but it really is designed to read one isolated, capsule review at a time. In contrast, the thread here at pcefx allows you to read it like a novel, a narrative. "What's he going to review next?" "If he didn't like X, then I don't think he'll like Y". Etc. etc. That's what I want to do.

I know :)

There is a link in THIS thread, but it looks like it has now been removed from the site.

Like I said, that thread is gone.  Unfortunately, the waybackmachine doesn't have an archived copy, but you could ask nat or runin to see if they saved it before it was removed.

I never thought a great thread would be permanently deleted. That's inexcusable.

I will get in touch with nat/runin, though, because I don't want to cry anymore.
