Power help
« on: July 05, 2010, 02:18:36 AM »
Hi there. I have just been to Tokyo and bought myself a PC-FX but am too scared to plug it in fear of blowing it up.
I live in the UK and have a power transformer which I use for my N64DD but it seems a lot more power than what the PC-FX asks for. The stats of my transformer are as follows:

AC-AC converter
Input: 230V ~ 50Hz
Output: AC 110V 100W

Can anybody confirm if this is OK to use please? I am desperate to play this.  :-({|=

You should be A-OK. I plug my PC-FX directly into the wall here in the US, and it has worked fine for years on the standard 110 volts my outlets here provide. If your converter is outputting 110 as well, you're good to go.

Fantastic. Can't wait to try it out. Its like brand new. The Japanese know how to package theirsecond hand goods. They seal them in brand new bags and wrap the wires with a machine so they look like they're straight from a factory. I felt like a kid at xmas.
