This is pretty cool. Ki came over to my apartment a couple of times with his FPGA Famicom to demonstrate it. It was really cool seeing it work. He said he was also starting work on the FPGA PCE, but it is a lot more complex than the Famicom, so progress will be very very slow. He does this in his free time and it's a hobbyist thing. Also, the FPGA Fami required a serial connection for bootup and game loading, so they are not standalone, easy-to-use projects.
Basically, don't expect a ready-built PCE anytime soon, IMO.
