i'm done with this stupid board. to try and twist my words again, trying to make it look like i had a friend who was sexually molested. and you think that's funny? that's liberal humour, the crap you see on immoral tv programs, the crap u see in video games shouldn't b playing. that's the type of kids you are, the type that will find some little mexican boy being molested funny. that's the problem with games like grand theft auto, they don't make kids go out and peform acts of violence, but invigorates their desire to see violence and things of that nature. you wanna be fagets, f*ck you! THAT'S PROBLY WHY YOU FAGS ARE INTO ANIME, YOU PROBLY ALL  love the idea of children being molested. all those charactors look like michael jackson as it is, where's their nose?

AND LIKE I REALLY WANNA PLAY  RIDGE RACER!

and to make jokes when you could have simply honelst answered my question. and why? because i want to use the option to shut off the music means i don't like turbografx music?

I answered your question from a very technical viewpoint...is that what you can't understand? I'll put it in layman's terms then...

If all the game does is change soundtracks, then sure, switch discs after it loads and it'll play your own music CD instead of the CDROM tracks. Unfortunately, I can only think of one game that does this, and it's a game made by GravisZero that's freely downloadable from zeograd.com.

Better? :D

What you're talking about is pretty much impossible on the TG-CD...all games (except the previously mentioned game by GravisZero) take advantage of the additional storage capacity of the CDROM format, but they can't load the entire disc into memory at once so they only have small portions loaded at once. The CD audio tracks for that game are stored on the same disc, so when the game isn't loading data, it's playing a CD audio track. If you were to switch discs...yeah, music might play, but the next time the game had to load data...it would fail because the data isn't on your audio disc. So in essence...no, what you're talking about isn't reasonably possible to do and I don't give a rat what this "kid" said because he was obviously deluded and/or a liar.

And on a personal note...I think you're one of the biggest whackjobs I've ever encountered on a forum, and I've been on at least 30 forums in the last 10 years. You've got some serious screws loose...I think you need to find yourself a really large screwdriver.

HEY, I think we are all being a little bit hard one this guy. I mean its not bad enough that he had a friend who spent one to many nights at Neverland Ranch if you know what I mean....but....The Guy also had to Eat the Bonk....I mean this going on about it just isn't funny.... OK so maybe its alittle funny...

[EDIT] But seriously, if everyone on these boards got as easily offened as you, then everyone would leave. Just ask Messiah Mike (anyone who gets that joke, you ROCK). This isn't a place for the easily offened. So again I reinforce my statement that I am sorry that our fine forum didnt work out for you. But, that being said, anyone who can openly insult Cosmic Fantasy (well other than to complain about how the game can be a tedious level grind at times) has to understand that they opened themselves up for a little ridicule. :D ....cookies sometimes crumble, thats just the way it is....  :(

Kabuki Den lets you swap a music CD and play it while leveling up on the world map.

Just swap discs and then press Select + II.

It'll play the same track #.

You can get a lot of other games to do basically the same thing by swapping discs before a change in music(but not a data load).

I used to do this all the time with Sonic CD in my CDX.

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).
