27" Sony Trinitron WEGA SD CRT in my bedroom and a 36" Toshiba HD CRT in the living room. The Toshiba is nice for HD gaming, though it could a little better. It is real nice for 480p support on the GC, PS2, Xbox and DVDs. Now that I have a PS3 I would prefer a big LCD in the living room for Blu-ray movies. I was working on getting one, but my parents friends gave me the Toshiba HDTV. Why spend the money

For retrogaming you can't go wrong with a nice CRT with a Digital Comb Filter built in. Compared to regular CRTs it makes composite almost look like S-video (it does wonders for the NES), makes S-video look closer to component video and component video looks just great. It also helps to learn the service mode codes on these things as many consoles over the years tend to off-center the picture.
