It probably would if it was on Steam and had all the Steam crap all over it. It sounds like I got a lot of catching up to do.

Definitely give the new one a shot.  Best 15$ I spent on the PSN ever.  And I buy a ton of dumb shit on there!

Tale of the Forsaken Land was a sleeper hit.  I remember when I got it, I literally could not stop playing it and none of my friends had any goddamn clue what I was talking about.

Then they watch me playing it and are like oh wow.  They all went out to buy it.

I agree... If you haven't played Tale of the Forsaken Land, you're really missing out. I've been meaning to buy it for a while now, hope it not too expensive on ebay.

They haven't released a bad wizardry game to date.

Every one of them including the latest one on PS3, is excellent.
Didn't realize they made a Wizardry game for the PS3, I thought it was basically done with after Wizardry 8 and only Japanese releases went on after that! Thats a bit of good news then. ^^ Still, you would think with these newer Wizardry games it would kindle interest in translating the ones we haven't seen here in the U.S....
Edit: Even for the Iphone too? Sweet! Too bad I don't have a Iphone though...

Yeah, after Sirtech bit the sack, Atlus published Tale of the Forsaken Land for PS2.  It was incredible, to say the least.  Definitely one of the best games I played for PS2.  This year marks Wizardry's 30'th anniversary, and they are calling it the Wizardry Renaissance.

The latest game, Labyrinth of Lost Souls was released on physical disc in Japan, and download only here.

My best explanation for this is: American gamers are stupid pussies now.

The game wouldn't sell well on disc here.  Everyones too sissy pansy about games, and want foofoo spoonfed Zelda bullshit.

That Dark Spire game they released a few years back kicked ass, and most people that played it cried themselves to sleep in the 3rd hallway.

I picked up the dark spire a few weeks ago, havent played it yet. I always wanted to play the ps2 wizardy game, but i havent been able to find a copy

I had the PS2 one, but I loaned it to a friend and his dumbass brother sold it for pot.

Now, I haven't replaced it. :-/

Ah, Wizardry! I still remember as a kid, watching my dad fumble around in Wizardry 7: Crusaders of the Dark Savant. We never got very far, but we had fun.

When I heard about the new Wizardry for the PS3 being released here (God bless you, XSeed!), I snatched it up. I haven't played it much lately, but it's a ton of fun if you're into dungeon crawlers.

Dark Savant was frigging BRUTAL.

But, it was also a great game.

Wizardry 8 was another sweet purchase. 19.99 at EB!

I'm willing to bet we can get some of those later Wizardry games working on the pce if we started to use the arcade card... I remember being able to run Wizardry 8 on a old Pentium 2, but that game just may be too advanced to port over, so I'm down with getting Wizardry 6-7 ported if we can find the source code for it..

wizardry 8 is impossible to port.  it uses 3D models and a 3D rendered world, lol.

True dat, but I can't see why we can't get 6 and 7 though.

Those are doable.  7 would require a bit of insanity.  But, if M&M 3 happened, Wizardry 7 can too.
