I'm terribly tempted, though I don't think it'll happen this year.  :(

Yeah, that's pretty steep, but I think it's only like $10 more for a 4 day pass.  If I were to go, I'd spend at least 2 days to make it worth my while.  But then if I add the full days drive (up and back), gas, hotel, and food for all that time, I just can't justify it right now.  There needs to be a convention like that in Raleigh, NC.  That's only about an hour from me. :P  And they have a Flying Saucer (http://www.beerknurd.com/stores/raleigh/).

I wish there was a good convention in the southeast. Im in VA but magfest is still 7-8 hours away from me. There are a lot of retro gamers around I would love to see something happen a bit closer. I would drive to Raliegh for sure since its 3-4 hours away. Ive always thought Charlotte, NC would be a good place for a convention.

Yeah, I'd go to Charlotte, too.  Heck, I'd even go to Richmond, VA.  That's probably 4-5 hours away for me.  Well worth it.

I live 20 minutes south of Richmond (Prince George, Petersburg, Hopewell Colonial Heights etc), so it's I believe 3 hours for me.

I spent last week in Maryland and was only an hour away from National Harbor. I returned home to Boston (500 miles and 8 hours away) and saw a YT vid about this very gaming & music festival. What bad timing.
