^ ahh i see, so is there really a possibility of finding an unboxed SGX for around $125? one controller, ac adapter and the audio/video output? Doesn't need to include games or anything.

I don't browse eBay often, but in the last year or so I've see a couple RGB modded systems go for around that price and at least a few as complete as you described for $100 or less.

SuperGrafx hardware has been cheap for many years now. Like most PCE hardware, the ones rotting on eBay are the ones people pass over, but they regularly show up on there at great prices.

Define cheap? I barely see a boxed unit go for under $200, then I look at the games and they range from $50-$500.

And also, yeah, it's not hard to get a great deal on one if you are patient, so even though it's pretty naff, it's still worth buying for cheap.
Guess I will have to be patient then. I wouldn't mind adding one to my collection, but I'm not spending big dollars on one.

I don't think that a cardboard box is going to help frozenintears experience all that parallax he heard about. eBay has at least one complete SuperGrafx for $139.99, which isn't far off off what he was hoping to get one for. eBay also has 4 of the SuperGrafx's games for under $50 right now. In general though, most of the SuperGrafx related listings are kinda high right now on eBay, but I did see some good deals during a quick browse.

Also, Daimamkaimura (Ghouls and Ghosts) is perhaps the best title for it.  I have a loose one to sell, so if you get a supergrafx and you're interested, let me know ;)

Ummm...OK.

Don't worry, he's clearly a maroon.  Just another johnny-come-lately that wants to have a cool retro gaming habit... but doesn't actually want to play anything.
