Hmm...probably Johnny's Lunch/Texas Hots here. It's a small New York restaurant that developed into a chain of sorts.
I go to the one in Jamestown, NY. It's kind of like a chili dog without the beans - a tasty, spicy meat sauce. They're addicting.

God this thread is making me hungry.  I think I might actually attempt some of these dishes, like the oatcakes (I was seriously hankering for them yesterday, but ended up eating some vegetable risotto at a friends house).

I was talking to other people about this thread, and they suggested I mention Cider, and Gloucester Old Spot sausages, even though it's close but perhaps not exactly "local".  But yeah, the whole area around here is pretty well known for cider.

Veggie risotto is excellent!  You should give chicken-rhubarb risotto a shot once if you're a risotto fan.

Dungeness crab is also a local delicacy and I worked for a crab fishing company for a while.

So it's fair to say you were once a Dungeness Explorer, eh?
