no sound from white PCE
« on: March 29, 2006, 04:33:03 AM »
Hi, im not getting any sound from my white PC Engine, I just get a loud buzzing sound. Everything else works fine. Will this be easy to fix? or can I use an AV booster to get sound?

Thanks for your help.

You have to provide all the nitty gritty details: what country are you in? are you using RF, or do you have a booster that provides composite A/V? Do you have the proper AC adapter? what type of TV are you using? Are you sure the HuCard(s) you're using to test the console work?

You don't have to go crazy with all the details, but we need some basic info :)

Well ive tried using the official AC adapter with stepdown (im in the U.K) and a sega megadrive power supply. I know the hu-cards work as I have a core Grafx. Ive tried it on two t.vs an NTSC compatable t.v and a PAL one, still no sound. its an un-modded machine and I have tried it using RF output only.

you most likely need to get an AV booster or get your PC Engine converted with a scart lead.

Oh you're in Europe? Excellent. RGB mod your system. Now.

Only the best  is good enough.
