On that note, does anyone know if people on these forums repair TurboDuo systems? The hinge on mine is broken on the top right of the disc tray lid and I'd kill to have it back to amazing shape!

I'd start a thread asking for help.  There's quite a few repair dudes 'round here that could do the work (chop5, blueBMW, thesteve, turbokon, keith, and likely others that I'm forgetting), but the hard part will be finding the replacement parts; start a thread and hopefully one of 'em will chime in and say they have a carcass from which they can scavenge a hinge.
