I don't like it either. I don't like the idea of hipster dickpounders wearing shit they know nothing about and all the dumb bitches sucking them off because of it.
OMG YOU SO RETROCOOOL LETS PLAY MARIO THE HEDGEHOG. ISNT HE THE ONE WITH THE TAIL.
I don't like the shirt because it's another example of these idiosyncratic consoles being lumped into a homogenized "retro" group. It offends me the same way sailors get pissed when someone calls a ship a boat. Or like out-state Minnesotans talking about "The Cities" - NO, it's Minneapolis and Saint Paul and they're two completely different things. Likewise, these consoles are completely different. Even today, I'm not much of a SNES or Genesis gamer. My SNES library is mostly games that I'd rather play on the Turbo: Super Bonks, Adventure Islands, Bombermans, S Chase HQ, R-type III, Ys IV + V, Darius Twin, Wizardry V, etc.
For someone to stumble across the 16-bit consoles in 2012 and nonchalantly proclaim loyalty for ALL FOUR is downright apathetic, retro bandwagon poser bullshit. It's like rooting for both teams at a ball game; kinda defeats the point of being a fan. To be any less discriminating, one would have to drink milk and orange juice at the same time.
I've only touched a third of the PCE library and my paltry 200+ games are enough to occupy the rest of my life. How could someone pretend to be a fan of the PCE
and three other systems?
