I have a Turbo Express where the sound works, the backlight comes on, but I can't see the screen. As if the brightness is up too high or low and I can't change it. Any ideas on how to fix this?

If it hasn't been totally recapped already I'd suggest trying that first.

Make sure the batteries (or power supply) are good, as that sounds like what happens when your batteries are just about shot.

try new batterys (good ones)
if that doesnt do it a cap change likely will (known cap related issue)
