L5R: The other Trading Card Game
« on: December 17, 2013, 05:09:41 AM »
Anyone play this?

I prefer it to MTG lately.  Mostly because the story is more coherent.  (Remember when Magic's card stories were consistent!?), and because it's cheaper.

... and there's samurai sluts in armor lighting shit on fire....
yeah....!

Heard of it, never played. Interested in it though.
NW: Hey, I made it on this psycho's Enemies' List, how about that ?? ;)

BT: Look at how the fake SFII' carts instantly sold out and were immediately listed on eBay before the flippers even took possession. Look at Nintendo's overpriced bricks. Look at the typical forum discussions elsewhere.

You can't tell most retro gamers anything!

My brother used to read these books in high school. I had 2 friends who played it. One of those friends was at a very competitive level. So much so he used to have meeting with the main staff to work on new cards and what not. That friend killed himself over some girl, and the other friend stopped playing after that happened. So every time i think of L5R. I think of that horrible shit. For those reasons i will most likely never play the game, even though i have heard good things about it.
