Bonk 3...  WTF!?  It's basically unplayable unless both players have already memorized the game.  There are areas that, as far as we experienced, were unpassable playing co-op.

Where'd ya get stuck?  I've never had any such problem, even when playing with my nephews (they don't know the game at all).

When I talked my wife into playing the HuCard version with me a couple of months ago, we got stuck in the tube lever where you can only advance by getting sucked into tubes.  Sometimes it would suck one of us in but not the other and then vice versa.  :(    After trying to figure it out for 15 minutes, we gave up, and she hasn't played any more video games since.

That's where we got stuck.

I've also had a similar experience getting stuck in the tube area playing Multiplayer Bonk 3.

The multiplayer was clearly hacked on to the game.

I was playing Bonk 3 with my 9 year-old, who is a novice with console games. I guess we didn't make it too far yet, but so far it's been OK (but definitely would be worse if she didn't have my guidance).

On a side-note: it's weird to watch someone who is rough with even the simplest platforming moves: jump in place, run and jump, attacking while stationary versus in motion, etc.

I know!  My little one took like a fish to water with touch screen games (Angry Birds, Bad Piggies, Where's My Water) but using a real controller  is alien to him.  About the only game he likes to play is Devil's Crush, which is about as simple a control setup as you can get. :)

Yes! And, similarly, my daughter loves Galaga—again, it's appeal might lie in it's simplified controls. Alien Crush is a tad simpler, though

That reminds me: There's a local restaurant we frequent that has a Ms. Pac Man/Galaga cabinet and we play it every time we're there.  For the longest time he only wanted to play Galaga (and we play together - I move and he shoots) but the last time we went there he wanted to play Ms. Pac Man.  It was like he had reached level 2 in joystick gaming. :)  We ended up making it to level 3 taking turns. :)

That's awesome! When I finally buy Pyramid Plunder, my daughter is going to dig it because she, too, has been playing some Pac Man/Ms. Pac Man. I'm not the biggest Pac Man fan...never intrigued me the way most other games have...

I know its not turbob, but I started a game of Dragon Warrior I today on the NES.  This has to be my all time favorite/go back to game.  As simple as it is, I can literally play it over and over.

Merry Christmas Bernie! Hope all is going well with the little one man?!
NW: Hey, I made it on this psycho's Enemies' List, how about that ?? ;)

BT: Look at how the fake SFII' carts instantly sold out and were immediately listed on eBay before the flippers even took possession. Look at Nintendo's overpriced bricks. Look at the typical forum discussions elsewhere.

You can't tell most retro gamers anything!
