Well... I just got one actually. However, it isn't working right now. (Disk won't spin/read) So I may just come to you if I can't fix this myself.

Don't get your hopes up though. I only have 6 TG-16 games right now, and they're all pretty common ones (Bonk's Adventure, Blazing Lazers, Keith Courage, etc.) PC Engine games, on the other hand...  8)

EDIT: If anyone has any help or suggestions for my NGCD predicament, here's a vid that shows what it's doing right now.

open it up and fix the lid switch. its pretty common for those to miss the actual switch. its not hard to fix unless the plastic is actually broken.

Not sure if that's the problem. I opened it up before and actually held down the lid switch on the board itself and it does the same thing as seen in that video. I'll probably try to go to the store in a bit and get a small screw to fit into that peg to make it longer.

I'm also noticing now that the black spindle in the middle is spinning fast, but the disk isn't going with it the whole way. When the door is actually closed, I'll hear small disk drive-y noises, but the disk is always in the same position it was before.

Just a word of advice, if you plan to try testing like that you need the top clamp to hold down the disc. Without it the disc will not be able to reliably spin at the correct speed and balance, and you will just end up causing damage to the disc.

Well after tinkering with this thing for a week, I'm just going to send it back. I've lubed the laser track, taped down the CD door switch, and much more, but nothing seemed to work.

So, consider this thread back to WTB status!

EDIT: Aaaandd, consider it no longer. I got a pretty good deal on a replacement. Thanks for playing!
