tg-16 some scratches in the box
« on: July 28, 2015, 06:00:13 AM »
i have a tg-16 with a few scratches on it, but working perfectly, with controller, in box with the paperwork.  just wondering if i were to list it on ebay, what i could expect to get for it.  not looking to gouge anybody at all, just a fair price.  thanks.

Roughly >$10 and <$1000, give or take a margin of error.

Depends how you list it.  the best way is to search Ebay for the recent finished auctions to see what they went for.  Ebay is it's own market place with it's own supply and demand and fluctuates a lot. I'm guessing depending on the day and type of listing anywhere from as low as 60 to as high and as far as a bidding war will take it..  If your asking me outright what I think is fair.  I bought several boxed TG-16 in the past and buy each in the 75 - 90 dollar range and find that to be fair forum price.
NW: Hey, I made it on this psycho's Enemies' List, how about that ?? ;)

BT: Look at how the fake SFII' carts instantly sold out and were immediately listed on eBay before the flippers even took possession. Look at Nintendo's overpriced bricks. Look at the typical forum discussions elsewhere.

ebay price for boxed TG-16 is roughly from 100 to 1000. The 100 dollar versions are for the boxes that many asses have been wiped with, teabagged, coffee spills, boogers, creases and dings. If you wanna get box that looks decent get ready to spend 200 plus. This is buddy buddy prices btw. Want retail???? get ready to pay 2x to 3x more for what I just mentioned.

Ignore tool.  There's no shortage of completed ebay listings that ended well under $200 and with decent looking boxes.

^Truth.  Look it up for yourself.  Tool must have some bad friends if his buddy buddy price is 200 for a decent box.

I stand corrected you are right. I really thought for some reason good shape boxes cost more. I don't really pay attention to ebay that much these days.

I regularly sell turbos on ebay that have been AV modded with AV cables, power supply, controller, and a few games for $150 shipped. I would sell the same thing here for less though. I could get more for them but that is more than enough in my book.
