I was in a bagel shop earlier and the man behind the counter asked "Do you like crystals?"
threadwinner!
Hahahhahahajja.
Nope, I'm not pretty enough to get hit on by random dudes at bagel shops.
lol... glad i'm not the only one who thought bagel boss was on a sausage quest.
If someone on a sausage quest knew enough to mention TG-16 Valis, I'd sleep with him her.
I went to Einstein bagels today which I frequently go to. Out of the blue, the manager asked me if I play video games. I told him I play retro/vintage video games only. I told him I have an Atari 8 bit and Apple II computer which I play games on. Then I asked him if he has ever heard of the Turbografx-16?
He says are you kidding, I talked my parents into getting me the TurboDuo when I was a kid! He then mentioned a handful of games he remembers having such as Valis. We went back and forth naming off great games for the TG-16. That was the highlight of my day today. When I go back, I will probably talk to him some more about his TurboDuo.
Only one co-worker actually played TG-16 back in the day! I am jealous you discussed Valis, because the guy I work with only had a handful of HuCARD games.
It is very depressing that most people I meet have no clue what TG-16 was/is.
I've had so many conversations about various computer/console platforms, but rarely TG-16.
I don't think I've ever had a conversation about XaviX, either, come to think of it. THAT IS DEPRESSING. The TG-16 should never be at the low level of XaviX.
