I wasn't able to view your list without logging into facebook. Is there a list you can share outside of that site?

Even if there are some bargain bin items in the trade there are a few good/fairly valuable items in there.

I've talked with the guy a few times and he's genuinely interested into getting into other avenues like NEC and SNK.

Hopefully this place treats him more kindly than the SNK forum he posted at.  The amount of ridicule and elitist attitudes I saw over him looking to trade for a Neo Geo CD were pretty embarrassing.

Well, Neo forum is a shit can of sorts. Asking for a Duo or NeoGeo CD for all the stuff he has may be a stretch, but I can easily see enough stuff there that he has to offer up as equaling the amount of a Coregrafx or modded TG and games.

Honestly though my advice to the OP is to take his stuff he doesn't want to ebay and ebay it if he cant get a fair trade here. After that he can buy a loose Coregrafx and hit up some sellers for loose hucard titles. Airmail with tracking will be cheap on those from import sellers, and there is plenty of good titles to be had on the hu-card side of things. The TG/PCE is easily one of the only systems out there where you could ignore the add on, in this case CD side of things and still be perfectly happy due to all the quality titles.

OP can use said link as a guide of sorts to start off with on picking up some good hucard titles.

EDIT: Just a bit of advice to the OP. The odds are good that you may be assuming your stuff is worth more then it actually is. It helps to have a 3rd party with experience in sales with no interest in the matter get you price estimates.

Loose N64 stuff doesn't hold much value outside of the flagship titles like the Zelda games, Smash Bros, Mario Kart, etc. Genesis wise you have a lot of games, but only a few are true must haves that retain decent value when loose.

To complicate matters the fact is you might be willing to offer it all up in one lump sum for a Duo or Neo Cd, but it will be extremely hard to find anyone wanting it all in return. You may have a lot of stuff interested parties will already have or dont want, which may force you into doing a cash offer along with some of your games. You need to be prepared to do that if your heart is set on a Duo or Neo CD. I saw the Neo thread just now and yeah they are being a bit unfair. Honestly they should have just said what I did just now and left it at that.

Seriously, ebay is your friend in a situation like this. Split the stuff up, sell the games individually, save up the money you make and put it towards the item of your desire.

Wow, everyone here is High class, if I don't get an offer from anywhere I posted, I'll just get on my alternate Facebook account and post locally for sale, same with Craigslist. Ebay is not an option, I have heard to many stories of sellers getting ripped off, buyers switch out system boards and cart boards and claim stuff is not as described. I really don't want to deal with ebay.

Wow, everyone here is High class....

It has nothing to do with that, at least where this forum is concerned. Its just that for the most part you're offering up a lot of mostly common stuff that can be had at any local game store that sells old stuff still, or that can be found on ebay on any given day of the week. What you are asking for is a premium item that is a system that is a bit less common and is to be honest worth a bit more, along with games that are less common also. A lone TG-16 deck unmodded fetches around $70 before shipping. Modded and we are talking $100 on up depending on the mods. Duo's and Turbos and PCE with cd-add ons are going to hit the $225-250 mark depending on what work has been done to them.

I wont pretend to know what you paid for the stuff you are offering for trade, but I could easily tell you the going rates, and which stuff would be harder to move, and you have a lot of stuff that would be harder to move outside of ebay unless you sell off individually and are patient. Around here you will be hard pressed to find someone willing to take all of it.

I don't know why you feel the need to use alt accounts to sell items, or what your issue is with ebay, but honestly trying to get into this system or the Neo and trying to avoid ebay at the same time is going to make things rather difficult. You're not going to find many people here liquidating their collections for new players to come along and snatch up titles, and many of us that do sell here would rather deal with someone with an established feedback/reputation in the community as opposed to the new guy who just signed up on a whim after being chased off the Neo forums.

Alright, well then, first of let me just say thanks for the advice. I figured if no one cared to trade a pcengine with a pcengine cd, there might be someone willing to trade a pc engine with some games. A pc engine is more common than the turbografx, that's why I picked this forum, figured it be a fair trade even if just Nintendo first party games, alisia dragoon, streets of rage 3, castlevania bloodlines for a regular pc engine with some games, not asking for anything expensive, just commons to get started. I understand not wanting to deal with the new guy. I have 2 Facebook accounts because I have been hacked, but after recovering one, I decided it was easier to have 2, one for local buy sell and trade, and one for far from home. I'll buy off ebay, but not sell. Too many horror stories of PayPal taking the buyers side with buyer protection being abused. On the flips side I will buy from them. I just try to trade before I sell and buy.
