Please adopt this Mario (raffle)
« on: June 15, 2015, 04:56:57 PM »
A little while ago I won a raffle put on by BigusSchmuck for a couple of broken Mario games.  I received the package today and got right to work.  The first one I got cleaned up, repaired and working is this fine copy of Super Mario World.

This poor thing had been through WWII, and must have been left in a German gutter.  It was literally held together with duct tape on it's arrival.  After going through my specialized rehabilitation program this great little guy is ready to give someone hours of love and enjoyment.  This is where you kind souls come in.  You see, WWII vet Mario is homeless and is looking for someone to take him in, love and care for him.  If you believe you are responsible enough to adopt him please state your intent.  If you are unsure of this large commitment and would like to be a temporary foster parent (re-raffle when you're done with the game) that would be great too.  God bless.

I've helped feed real homeless Veterans in the last few days.  The reference and comparison to a game is insulting...

I like the analogy, for it is a vet of the 16-bit wars.

I am also willing to adopt. I have been needing a SMW cart for awhile now. Currently have  Mario Kart, All Stars, and SMW 2. If the poor SMW cart needs some extra tlc, I have spare cr2032s, empty game case from a gutted sports game, and a other stuff laying around to help mend its poor war wounds.
