Since you closely monitor the market sections of the forum, you shouldn't be shocked by this at all.
Not as closely as you, seeing as you've done a bang-up job jumping on the best deals lately. Kudos to you. I'll be curious to see what you end up doing with the 20 or so other duplicates you bought. Ta-ta for now.
It was never posted by the seller or myself that I bought this copy of Beyond Shadowgate, nor any particular number of "duplicates". The fact that you care what I may or may not be buying, let alone go to the extreme of shaking down sellers for customer lists, was part of what I was referring to.
The second part is that you commented that you were "shocked" that I'd "take a hit" on something. In order to experience shock, you'd have to already have some kind of frame of reference. If you'd looked at my sales threads over the years, you'd know that I almost always list asking prices which are below even what passes as acceptable here, let alone on eBay. The couple of doujndance Duos I tried to make use of at different times and then eventually passed on here, were obviously lower than his standard prices, were in premium condition and I added games and accessories. Until the other day, I wouldn't have expected you to know that I often ask for less than my posted asking prices after getting shipping quotes, particularly when older members ask to buy multiple items. But now I suspect that you've at least been asking people what they wound up paying. I don't want to know what you do beyond that to obtain private info.
Of course, the most obviously point of my previous comment, is that as long as you've been here, you've never talked games and are only interested in defending collectardation, general market discussion and drama/trolling. Meanwhile, I've continued to discuss games, answer questions and, it shouldn't mean much but it does to some people, have given away a lot of games and hardware, even long before the first raffle was ever held.
I've already talked about how I have been picking up pieces of games to add manuals and cases to some of my TurboChips which need them and how the remaining pieces will get added to the extras I already have to trade for some of the pieces I still need. Maybe you missed this the once or twice I've mentioned it, because the comments were made out side of the market sections of the forum.
You also must have a terrible sense of things are worth, because if you didn't, you'd know that there have been and currently are lots of great deals that I am not "jumping-on". I've only picked up some of the things I need. Unlike too many people, when I decided to buy a house, I did not liquidate my "collection". I had a plan in place so that I would not need to sell anything. A situation came up that forced me to find a new place asap, 8 months before we planned on looking. So I strategically picked out as many as 20 higher priced items to part with to make it possible. Now that everything has settled, I'm picking up some of the games and systems I had to part with. I am paying fair prices for the most part, but still more than I sold anything for.
