Using CXA1145 for RGB on PC Engine?
« on: October 12, 2015, 07:36:16 AM »
The PAL Turbografx has the CXA1145 inside so I wondered if anyone has used it with a PC Engine? Are there any components between the RGB outputs on the C6260 chip and the CXA1145?
Would it be a case of just wiring the the RGB and sync signals to the inputs of the CXA1145 and then the outputs with resistors and capacitors to a din socket?
I have a PAL Turbografx converted to NTSC and wired for RGB using the CXA1145 and it has no jailbars, is this something in the CXA1145 that filters out the interference or is it the different board layout?

I've seen it used in a DUO-R I had to repair once. However I no knowledge of how it was wired up. I will say that the s-video that was ported out from the chip did not look very good at all. Maybe this was an older D-lite Mod? Looked like the types of jacks used were ones he typically went with but can't say for sure.
