Ok, gonna try installing my Redo image onto my new hard drive(gonna keep my recovery drive unplugged just in case), & try to boot from that.  From there, I'm going to uninstall IRST from the new drive & see how that works out.

I wish I could offer advice, but the longer this thread carries on the less I feel I know about how your drive(s) were configured, are presently configured, and what exactly the goal is.

I will say that I am glad to hear you were able to make a backup. So long as you have that, you are safe to try whatever hocus pocus the computer gods demand.
Even if its jbod. lol Had a director of IT at my previous job who thought jbod was a cheaper solution for a san than a raid setup. Let's just say I left the company before he decided to pull the trigger on this absurdly.

Part of me is considering just wiping them clean & re-installing Windows.  I'm taking my time with all of this.  My PC isn't dragging or anything, but it might be nice to start fresh.

Anyone know where I can get a Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium ISO with SP1?  My erecovery management disks aren't working.  I choose English for the language....& that's how far it takes me!  It gives me 3 options, but I can't select them, all I can select is Exit.  I've found a few links to ISO's....with dead links.  Tried Microsoft, but they want me to use my erecovery junk...

I almost feel like getting either of these to get a clean install, though I know nothing about Fixed:

I tried that already.  M$ wont let me download it, they want me to use my Acer erecovery discs....which aren't working.  I forgot to mention, I'm on Home Premium.  I'm trying to think if I know anybody who might have a physical disc I can borrow & rip.  I already asked my brother who I thought for sure would have a physical disc...but to no avail. :/

I ended up ordering this recovery boot disk http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PLTR9IQ?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00

Used my points to purchase it, so it was essentially free.  But now I'm wondering if there's any risk in using this disk to get me set up.  Is it possible this disk could be some kind of scam that has viruses etc. loaded within it the Windows setup program?  Maybe something that'll steal passwords & such?  I've tried searching for the brand Fixed, but all I find is some company that does has some kind of traffic app to get out of tickets.  Does anyone know anything about Fixed, or at least if there's any real risk I'm taking by using this disk? :P
