Especially considering this-

I prefer Mask of the sun. The dawn of Ys never appealed to me, I don't know why, really. Plus, the resolution is so low in The dawn of Ys, and the "frame" around the screen is so large so nothing fits on the screen! This is very strange and extremely annoying. The gameplay isn't that good either, plus, the game is too slow.

OK, I notice a lot of people voted for Order of the Griffon. Was this actually a decent RPG? I've not played it properly, but I'm wondering if people voted through lack of choice more than anything else.

Some people really like Order of the Griffon. I haven't played it properly either, but it seems like it could be fun enough. It was probably also voted a lot because of the lack of choice though.

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

The SNES Ys IV uses the same 256 pixel dot resolution as the PCE version.

I voted for it because it's one of the best HuCard games, not for lack of choice.

If I had played all the way through more Japanese HuCard RPG's, I might rank one of them higher, but OOTG is definately a quality game.

Order of the Griffon rules, it's my favorite AD&D rpg right after Eye of the Beholder I&II.
