TurboDuo questions/doubts
« on: December 19, 2016, 07:03:06 AM »
Would a Japanese Super System Card 3.0 work in an American TurboDuo?

Where can I get the video cable of the TurboDuo? Can I make one myself?

I picked one up and it didn't include the system card nor the video cables. I really want to try the system, but without those things I can't.

Please help

Duo doesn't need a system card to play CD games.

You can buy a Genesis 1 AV cable and use it, but no stereo output with that cable...

Basically what everyone else said.

TurboDuo has a 3.0 system software built into it.
Replacement 3rd party AV cable, little self promotion. :)

Be careful with generic made AV cables for DUOs. Some people don't make them correctly by not tapping ground. This produces a poor quality/slightly blurry video signal.

That was always my problem trying to find a good cheap alternative. Got tired of searching for good 3rd party cables so I decided to just start putting them together myself.

A lot of the other ones I have tried I would have to open up and either re-solder or do exactly what Keith described but running a wire between pin 3 and the shield because they were not grounded properly.

Thanks to everyone!

I'll buy genesis av cables. I will talk about my experience with the console later...
