Okay, so it's a given that I want to include the original arcade OST and the 25th Anniversary Arrangement OST as selectable soundtracks for the Super Raiden 25th Anniversary Project.  And it's looking like I might be able to squeeze in a 3rd soundtrack.  So the question is... what OST would you guys like to see as a THIRD selectable soundtrack on the project?

The HuCard Raiden OST with remastered percussion + chiptune covers by yours truly?

The ever popular PS1 Raiden Project OST?

The original Super Raiden redbook CD audio soundtrack?

Or to hell with the whole project and just keep making chiptunes?  ;)

Can we throw in Kids Bop 14 while we're at it?  :P  My feelings about the original CD OST are umm... well known.  hah

I don't even really like the 25th anniversary mixes much. Would love to see HuCard with new percussion and the Raiden Project OST

I haven't even heard the other versions but I've already voted for the HuCard chiptunes because that's what I love and want to hear more of~♥♥

No matter how much you shame me for it, I'll always have the original CD tracks of Super Raiden as one of my favorite arrangements of the Raiden OST.

But thinking about it, prease ignore my vote for the original ost and pretend I voted for the Hucard remaster. I also like the chiptune version a lot and I would like to see your spin on it (and besides it feels like it's easy to just reinsert the original tracks back into the ISO if you overwrite the new ones anyway)

Not shaming, I just don't agree... that easy breezy, late 80s/early 90s light rock style doesn't sit well with me.  I feel like that entire soundtrack was just the lobby music playing in the reception area of the Seibu Kaihatsu main office in Japan.

And you know you can change your vote, right?  at least, I set up the poll so you could

I haven't voted yet. Very tough decision.

I love the Super Raiden tracks, too.

At first I was OK with them.

But then, over time, they grew on me and I started to love them.

I think that too many people have heard the Raiden Project versions, so I want to vote for the more unique Raiden stuff...

:)

I'm so glad the 3rd soundtrack option looks like it could come to fruition!  That being said, I guess the FM Towns Marty OST was a no go?   :P

In that case I still choose the PSX Raiden Project OST simply because I have different expectations when playing a CD game vs. playing a HuCard game.  Redbook audio really allows the SCD system to compete from an audio perspective with systems that are much more powerful than it.  Couple that with how great the PCE SCD port of this game is overall (60fps w/ shadows! :D) and I genuinely feel it holds a candle to the PSX version, so I would love to *hear* that as well.  (Well, that and the PSX Raiden OST is my 2nd favorite of all time).

However, I really do like your chiptune remasters!  Great job on that!  So, truthfully it's kind of a win/win situation.  hehe...
