I can't tell you what to do or obsolve you of any guilt.

Using myself as an example.

f*ck it.

If you can afford it, and desir it. Do it.

If you can't then find a middle of the road approach.

If you stugle to justify it then maybe it's not truly worth it for the price point it's at.

Example 1) I splurged on a complete NES Zelda (gold cart) in 2011. I thought well for the price I could get more games loose. However I covered a complete copy.

Example 2) I wanted Little Samson (loose) as I had found memories of renting it as a kid form block buster. Not simply because it's RARE. However at the time (loose $500) was a price point I couldn't justify spending despite having the despicable money. So I compromised with a JP boxed copy (no book) for $100.

Example 3)  I want Kio Flying Squadrian for the Sega CD complete. Simply for my Sega CD collection. However the price point i style to justify.  And I don't want to compromise. So for the time I simply wait.

I never liked the long boxes for u.s saturn games.Though i never did keep them i just throw them all away and put the games in a carry case and yes i have the manuals still.Expect for two games enemy zero and panzer dragoon saga, have them in the original cases still.

What I said earlier only applies to Turbobs.  I don't care that almost none of my 2600 games have manuals or boxes, and I'm perfectly happy with the home made inserts I printed for PSP and Vita games that came in generic cases.

Heh, I must be the only person that like Saturn and Sega CD longboxes.  Some of them are fugly, but with decent art a lot of them are awesome to look at, the Dragon Force and Popful Mail boxes are good example of something that looks (and plays) amazing.
