Turbo CD skipping tracks help

Turbo CD used to work well, stored it for a year and now it skips tracks.  A lot of work was done on it (new gear, recap, repaired a few traces, POT adjustments).  I've tried 2 different lasers and they both act exact the same, (please see vid).  A bit lost on what else could be the issue, maybe I need to clean out vias?  First few tracks skip each time no matter which CD I use or how I adjust the POTs.

I encountered this problem only once and repaired 4 bad traces in between these two chips to fix the issue.  So check the traces here.

  I did notice a bit of something on there that looked sorta like cap acid.  It was on a leg that didn't seem to run to the adjacent chip, so I just thought it was a spot of factory glue.  I'll check this out.

 If I can't get this thing going, I may need to send it to you if you're interested in a repair.

You can just solder in wires to repair the traces.

Hey thanks a mill.  I should have inspected that spot more closely the first time I checked.  There was a short to pin 71 of the adjacent chip.. I managed to scrape some of the pcb and just jump the CXK586 chip to the broken trace.. and it works like new again. 

  Curious if the headphone jack input is a bit weird on these systems.  I can only get sound from both headphones if I pull out the 3.5mm jack about 0.5cm.  It could be my headphones though, just wondering.  Thanks!

The headphone jacks stink inside these CD drives. The contacts get bent from people yanking the headphones out from a weird angle.

I'll post a pic on how to bend these contacts back later this evening. Sometimes they can just be bent back into place where others need replacement altogether.

Push in the left side of the metal looking contacts to bend back into place. Be careful to not push in the center or closer to the right side as this can push the connection out of the board from the other side.
