Yeah I'm using Vista at work (with Aero turned off, of course!). Absolute crap. Windows XP is and will remain #1 for a very long time.

SX Window, though... now THAT's an OS! ;)

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

If you have the original CD then make another image, this time make it a BIN/CUE. There much easier to patch and you don't have to worry about the track order.

So.... How do I make a BIN/CUE image under OS X? Sounds like that might be the easiest route.

The built-in burning software in MacOS doesn't support BIN/CUE. So you need a program like Toast.

So I can make rip a BIN/CUE image with Toast?  I'll give it a shot when I get home.

OS/2 FTW!!

At least Microsoft doesn't crank out incremental upgrades every year or so.  At last count, OSX has gone through 5 releases in 7 years at +$100 each (and people say MS is a greedy whore).

Back on topic: Good luck with the burn - Ys IV in english is scrumtrulescent.

Ys IV in English is the best game that's ever been made, period!

I will at least agree with that (though I've never actually went out and purchased a stand-alone version of OSX).  Also I think 10.1 was free (upgraded from 10.0).

As for Ys 4, too bad I still don't know what they are saying during the cinemas.  Subtitles would be awesome.

Try the next best thing (subtitles, but not on the screen):

I had high hopes for the dub that someone on RIGG was working on (sorry, I don't remember who).  It sounded like he was really trying to keep everything professional, rather than some crappy fan dub with people f'n up lines and giggling.  Last I heard, the project died due to lack of voice talent volunteers.   :(

Justus' Ys 4 dubbing project died because he had more important stuff to do.

Although he recently hinted that something was going on, so who knows? I definitely don't expect anything to happen, though.

I know one of the voices in the beginning (from Goban) says "Dogi! Dogi you nigger!"
