Yeah, that Ricky Martin wave is exactly what I'm talking about.  All music recorded in the US these days sounds like that, it seems.

And they want us to buy SACDs and DVD Audio even though they're probably just going to pump them up again and clip the hell out of it. What's the point? CD audio can sound much better than it does currently. Why push the buck just so it can be abused again?
