NEC TV
« on: November 07, 2007, 12:30:06 AM »
my local thrift store has a sweet NEC circa '89 TV for sale for $50..  It's huge!!   Was thinkin' that'd be sweet to play TG16 games on..  !    (of course not as sweet as the TV I have now...)

If it's gotta be NEC, then I'll take this one over your twenty year old set (though it's slightly more than $50).  8)

There, that fixes it.  Now it's PC-FX related.... kind of - at least as much as it was PCE related.

Actually I think you're pretty confused. TG-16 does not equal PC-FX nor is it backwards compatible with PC-FX (but I wish it was).

And correct me if I'm wrong here, but NEC's TV division probably did not manufacture the PC-FX or the TG-16.

However, this thread disapoints me for another reason. I thought this was going to be about a PC-FX/TV hybrid, kinda like the Sharp Famicom/TV hybrid. That'd be pretty rad.

I propose an IQ test.

send that pic around to all the gaming mags, and see if anyone bites.

Surely they won't because of the HORRIBLY scaled PC-FX controller.  Look how jagged that is.  I can't get things that jagged even if I try!
