Alice in Wonderdream

Can someone tell me where I'm supposed to use the magic book?  And what's with the Louis Vuitton wallpaper in the boss rooms?   :-k  That bugged me out.

Is this game any good? I always thought it looked cool in screenshots but I heard the game wasn't very good.

I just put a short review on PCECP but I'll elaborate a little bit more-
I always thought it looked cool too- just got it from Dean along with Toilet Kids (the better of the two)- and it looks more fun than it plays- however the controls are smooth, fast and responsive- maybe I just need to get used to it.  Seems more difficult than any Alice in Wonderland game has any right to be- and to me it has the feeling more of an NES game than a pc-engine game.  From my perspective you could use more life hearts- there is a cheat to max them out but I'd rather try to get furthest without cheats initially.  One thing I didn't like is there is a huge lack of landscape/background variety within the first three levels I played.  Samey forests.  I got waxed by the level three boss so maybe and hopefully it switches up afterward.  I have the other Alice game too- Marchen Maze- and while neither of them are that great I actually prefer Marchen Maze- at the moment anyway.  More play will tell.

Alice is awful, you fight the same 3 bosses in every single world just with palette swaps and they take more hits the further you get.  Fun.  It seems ok if you've just played the first world (first 3 levels), but if you give it a serious playthrough it's boring as hell.  The gameboy color Alice game is pretty decent if you want to play some Alice in Wonderland.

Agreed - Alice in Wonderdream sucks.  If you want some good Alice in Wonderland that focuses on the creepy parts, then check out American McGee's Alice for PC (which is strangely supposed to be turned into a movie with the yummy Sarah Michelle Gellar playing Alice).

That's it? the bosses loop?  Three bosses?   :-&  That is ludicrously weak.
It's not that I felt the need to play some Alice in Wonderland- to tell it true I feel more than a little pervy controlling her, but that there's not many platform action hucards left for the pc-engine that I don't have.  I was hoping for something better- expecting the worse.

Plus- I like the four other Face games I have- Time Cruise, Hani on the Road (love this), Metal Stoker and Ryukyu (love this too)
