I stumbled upon their website and it appears the company made T.V. Sports Boxing and T.V. Sports Baseball for the amiga.  Also they did a sequel to It Came From The Desert for the amiga although it doesn't appear to have  full motion video like the TG16CD game.

That's interesting, it looks like they actually offer ROMs for the TG-16 versions of their games available for free download. That would mean passing around TV Sports ROM files is completely legal.

I like the name of the company.  They would of tied up perfectly if they did movie based video game adaptations.  Even though movie games tend to be crappy.

Well, not exactly, since Cinemaware is the only one with the legal right to distribute it, but that's splitting hairs.  They probably can't claim any damages.

Still, it's interesting.  Have any other companies done this?  I know several PC games have had their source code released but I'm having a hard time thinking of any console games that have been released like this.

Actually, it'd be interesting if they offered the rom of TV Sports Baseball!  Also, not many remember this, but, there was a listing for TV Sports Boxing for the Turbo as well, not to mention, there was also supposed to be a cd edition of the 4 games(football, basketball, hockey, baseball).  I think it was just called TV Sports Collection or something like that.

I think that its fine as long as you aren't selling the roms.

I'd like to see them try to sue someone for financial loss over giving away for free an item that the company had been giving away for free.

I do remember the announcement for all the T.V. Sports games on a CD but just like Baseball it never happened.  I mean if a beta of T.V. Sports Baseball actually existed, it would of surfaced on the net by now!

Their has to be a beta, the game was near complete, if not totally complete!  It was even reviewed in Turboplay, but, I don't recall if I heard a reason why it was never released.

The footage Of TV Sports Baseball in one of the TG-16 promo videos did look very Turbo-like and not like a computer game.

The interesting thing is that Cinemaware closed its doors and NEC had to finish a bunch of their TG-16 projects. We can only speculate, but I think it would have been neat if Cinemaware had actually finished what they started.

It seemed like there was more info, in an EGM IIRC, regarding the 4 in 1 TV Sports.
