Rocket Launch

Although the instruction manual isn't in English, Panic Bomber(man) seemed relatively easy to grasp how to play and was addictively fun...then one of my computer opponents launched a rocket that shook the screen so I couldn't see what I was doing and when it reached the top of the screen, my side was filled with burnt bomberman faces. Needless to say, I lost.  Has anyone experienced this while playing? What do you have to do to launch a rocket and totally devastate your opponent?

Judging from gameplay videos I've seen, I think enough large combos are needed to be earned in order to launch a rocket. Combos can also wield in putting "unhealthy" or "burnt" bombermen in the rows. I do not know if the player can actually release one to computer opponents, however.
