Overpriced PCE LT?
« on: January 18, 2009, 08:47:54 PM »
Hey guys, I found an auction on eBay recently:

http://cgi.ebay.com/PC-Engine-LT-Nec-good-working-condition-Very-Rare_W0QQitemZ150321677350QQihZ005QQcategoryZ123439QQssPageNameZWD2VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em122

Isn't the BIN price an overkill?? I bought mine boxed at half the price...

What can you expect from a European seller?

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

A lot of overpriced kit seems to be coming out over here at the moment. Unrealistic sellers. In general a loose LT goes for £200 or a nice, complete boxed one between £280-350. I've sold three boxed, mint ones in the last couple of years for £320, £340 and £370.

Thats nothing. 8 or 9 years ago, a boxed nice example would have cost around £6-700 from UK import stores. And a couple of years before that you would have been looking at nearer £1000! The people you see popping up on ebay from europe with those mental prices these days, are the same people who can't see that the prices have dropped big time and are still living in the past.
