NHK okaasan to issho niko niko pun is...
« on: March 15, 2009, 07:28:10 PM »
.. probably the most easy to clear game in the whole universe and probably even beyond of it. a game in which you impossibly CAN'T die!!!!

it's also a game which plays in teh land of pepperled ice creams and fruits. since you have to feed all the bosses with those sweeties to be able to beat 'em (feed 'em up).

here we have one of the very first enemies you will encounter in the game. a damn houly CRAB!!!:

he looks quite dangerous! but also is he? you'll find it out.

the grafx is amazingly well done, considered this game is just made for some below 4 years youngsters.

this is probably the best entrance game into games in existence ever. so if you're a proud owner of a PC Engine and some lil' kids as well, or if you ever needed a game to hand, which even could be cleared by a newly hatched amoeba, then you will need this game sooo bad!! just trust me!

so, and now I am warning this game not to become silly again!

I'll shamefacedly admit to playing and clearing this one.  As Tats says, it certainly is a cute and easy little platformer that's great for chilluns.  Its only drawbacks are that it gets rather repetitive and the difficulty doesn't increase as one progresses.

I will buy this game for the cheesy cover art alone! lol! Looks like a fun game; I'll play it on one of those days when a good laugh is needed! :)

The game is a bit pricey.. I may have to settle for this!

Maybe we should get it for tatsujin for writing this review for us!

Tats has all the Japanese text romanized in the thread title. NHK is the publisher, the Japanese text says: okaasan to issho niko niko pun

Haha, I remember clearing this as well. It has only four levels if I remember correctly. I almost wet myself when I saw the CRAB for the first time!! Be aware of the fact that the repetitive music can drive you nuts within a couple of minutes!

This game has some truly epic parallax scrolling that puts the Mega Drive to shame.

I've played it in an emulator before and liked it for the cutesy graphics. Would love to pick it up someday and play through the epic quest.

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).
