So a couple of days ago i received my third nec console...a white japanese pc engine.
Today I found some spare time to test it and have some problems...
sorry if all these are already answered somewhere, but I searched the forum for a bit and I couldnt find something ...since i'm new with it's kind of confusing with all the different names and version mentioned everywhere
So, the console has a scart cable coming out of it, i guess its an rgb mod, since i know it only had the rf built in.
Tried the scart on my tv, in rgb mode and plain scart mod....but i'm getting a black image. I can see some sprites of the game, but no colors and no brightness...
Seems like a bad/loose connection or soldering somewhere in the cable.
But before i open it to check the connections I wanted to read some things about the mod, can you guys gimme a couple of links with rgb mods for the pc engine, so i can find the problem easier?
Also, when I tried the rf, I got quite a nice picture, with bright colors and all, but didnt get any sound.
Did the white pc engine had capacitor problems? Should I get into changing them or is there any other known problem with sound that I should check first?
Last, but not least...the pce came with a british sega power adaptor. I guess it is compatible? Can I use any sega adaptor or do it need to have certain specs? The british one that came with the pce is 10v and 1,5 A... the european one I have is 10v but only 0,5 A...will it work correctly or it doesnt have sufficient amber to power the pce ?
thanks in advance :p
