HUcard library and price list.
« on: May 05, 2012, 09:13:38 PM »
Years ago i found a nice file containing most (if not all) HUcards released with a short description and screens. Is this file still for download somewhere?

Second... Like Neo-geo.com has a price guide for their carts, does there exist some kind of similar list for the HUcards?

Thx.

eBay is still a good indicator of value - what things actually sell for rather than what people want for ridiculous BIN offers.  In general though, the "real" cost tends to be a bit less than eBay - 10-20%

And for a list of HuCards, there's Wikipedia, or PCengine.co.uk for nearly every game.

And for too many titles, 80% less.

The price guide on Neo Geo isn't actually like...used by anyone. Also, it's about eight years out of date and maintained by an a$$hole that charges way more for the stuff he sells than what the guide says. It's a mess.

If you just want a list, go to pcedaisakusen.net. Everything, all regions is listed here and you can sort by format.

There has been a lot talk about price guides here and most non-noobs think they are a terrible idea, and for all sorts of reasons. The main problem is that they stagnate, or are used to drive up prices.

If you want a game, play it or watch a video of it on YouTube. Decide how much it looks like its worth and buy it when you can get it for that price. Don't buy Bomberman 93 for $100 just because some shithead tells you that's what it's worth.

I despise the neo-geo price list. I think it was a contributing factor in making the Neo go to shit.

I don't know what that even means. The Neo is awesome. No price list can make a system suck.

The neo is my all time favorite system. But prices are through the roof, and with that so is bootlegging. It's basically impossible to buy a high ticket neo game now. The high prices are annoying for sure, but the bootlegging is a travesty. I think the price guide contributed to this problem.
