Hmm I could use a ram cart for my saturn, but lemme toss you a few questions. is the ST key you have RAM + an Import adapter? Also just out of curiosity, does the RAM allow you to save sorta like a memory card? I thought I read that somewhere but I'm not sure.

The ST Key is both an import adapter and a RAM cart, yes. Not sure about saving with a RAM card...I've never heard that mentioned, but I guess there could be some trick to it. I rarely used them so I don't know too much about them unfortunately.

Also, I already have at least one interested buyer for the ST Key in PMs so please let me know asap.

Thanks!

what happened with that little patch spot on the NGCD?

i think you are doing great work by the way. region-switching should be simple and neat like the ones you have here.

Some previous owner had an all metal toggle switch on it. And I really, really don't like the way they look on systems. So I removed it, and patched the old hole as best I could at that time.

Thanks for the compliments. I try and make everything as "factory" looking as possible and really do spend a lot of time and energy in the pursuit of it. I do way more then region switches too. You can check here for some of the services I offer. Just scroll down a bit to see everything:  http://gametz.com/user/platinumfungi.html

It is, but only 20 Mega Power is accessible without a mod.

They'll play a game from any region, but the language displayed is linked to the console's region (meaning that a region mod is necessary to see English on a Japanese model and vice versa).

I see. But can't you get the same effect from a unibios? or does that not work with the NGCD?

i could be wrong, but i think the uni-bios is for the home cartridge/consolized mvs. i guess the most you can do with a NGCD is play it in english or japanese, which means you can't have blood and english text at the same time. its one or the other. or maybe no one has really messed with the idea of installing a uni-bios component on a NGCD before.

Wow, I didn't realize you all had posted since I'd checked last.

The Unibios is only for use with MVS and AES hardware. No CD love yet.

As others have stated, the region mod for the NGCD allows you to set the system to either USA or JPN mode at will.

The differences basically boil down to:

USA Mode:
- Most text is in English
- Blood is white

JPN Mode:
- Most text is in Japanese
- Blood is red

There are a few other little things you might notice in some games, but it's basically the above reasons that people want the option.
