My birthday present to the PC-FX this year will be to actually FINISH my walkthru for my favorite SLG game for the PC-FX, Power DOLLS FX.
I agree there are much better, polished, strategy games, even for the FX out there in 32-Bit land, but I had the most fun playing thru this one.
It doesn't get much mention ever, and the anime it's based on seems pretty obscure.
Power Dolls FX is a turn-based strategy game with giant mechs. It spawned a PS1 sequel and a PC fighting game.
If you know what the goal to each level is, the game is great.
I found it a pretty easy and playable game, once you get past all the menus.
I've gone thru it again over the last month, and have good strategies for the first 9 levels.
The only reason I didn't play the hell out of this back in the day was because the mission goals were not very clear.
The current FAQ <on GameFaqs>, is based on the English version of the PC game released by MegaTech Soft, and it's only got the first 3 leveles, and even such, it's pretty useless for beating even the first level
I'll send a text version for Aaron here on this site in a week or so, and I'll host a pretty version with pics later.
