Find the voltage regulator and use a multimeter to find which prong is the input voltage. (meaning the 8.5 or 9V, not the 5V side!) Thats where you should connect the 5V connector of the region mod chip to. I've heard of problems trying to use the 5v source. The IC region mod 4551 chips are rated for 3 to 18 volts. If you need a pic, I'll find you one.

Yeah, on my TG16, when I used 5V, the mod was iffy at best. So I would rather use a higher voltage.
But the voltage regulator doesnt seem as obvious to me on the Express, so if you have a pic, that would rock!
